Weekly Report #16
1/7/19-1/13/19
The last week had been actively spent finishing the Original Work. I had been in contact with my mentor during the process, which definitely helped in the understanding of certain processes that could not be researched. Other than that, the week had also been spent making the display board and updating both of my portfolios. In accordance to the goals from last time, the idea of working on the original work one hour everyday was not accomplished. Especially with assignments and tests from other classes looming on top of the ISM work, the goal had just been too unattainable.
In regards to future goals, the one for this week is schedule and attend a mentor visit. I had definitely struggled the last week in completing the screening process in order to attend, which involved pages of paperwork and going fingerprinting at a facility one hour away. However, I was able to accomplish both those tasks over the break and into the upcoming six weeks. Another big goal this week is to prepare for Research Showcase. This will be done by practicing intros to say to whoever visits my booth for 30 mins every night until then.
