Weekly Report 4

9/10/18-9/16/18

This week was spent learning about the inevitable and often dreaded cold calls, wrapping up creating a resume, and coming up with ten possible questions to ask during an interview. Through this process, it was realized that that it is difficult to determine what to put on the resume because it is confusing to know what to do to fill the blank spaces and how to know the extent of relevancy of whatever is put. However, I hope that when we peer review our classmate’s resumes this week, it will be understood what to fix. Furthermore, with the ten questions, it was realized how much was learned already with the weekly assessments. The more detailed the articles had gotten, the more questions arose that needed to be answered. In fact, coincidentally, the topics being covered in the articles were very similar to what was being discussed in my AP Psychology class. Learning about the topic of dissociation simultaneously did help answer some of the questions from before.

In regards to this next week, the plans include getting a head start on the assessment due next week, since I know waiting until the week after is very tempting. On top of that, specifically for the assessment, researching the “how” more than the “why” is something important, because I believe this way, more of my questions can be answered. Other goals for this week are practicing cold calls with family or friends since it is something I know will get difficult to get used to. Other than that, the overall main goal is to limit procrastination.
