Speech

Weekly Report #22

2/18/19 to 2/24/19

This week had been pretty productive in terms of getting through all the tasks. I was able to properly go through the original work speech and look through what improvements were seen and what was still needing work. In the end, it was reflected that I still needed to work on fidgeting, eye contact, and how to properly close a speech. Plus, a mentor observation/visit date had been set at his private practice on the 28th in order to sit in on a deposition and talk to him about final product. However, not much progress was made on the final product research as I have been second-guessing the idea, especially after getting back feedback from my mentor and Mr. Speice. Therefore, it will be crucial this week in order to speak to my mentor about what is planned to do with that.

One main goal this week will be to develop a solid idea for final product, and this will be done by discussing the current idea with my mentor during our visit this week. The goal is to discuss what the true purpose of working on this idea would be and how it could display what was learned through research and observations thus far. I also need to go over whether this could be something that would be found interesting and therefore be motivating to accomplish it in a timely manner.
